Cappadocia 2-day tour from Side is a cultural tour with 1-night accommodation. Cappadocia which is unique in the world and a miraculous nature wonder is located near the center of Turkey about 450 km away from Side.
As a result of the volcanic eruptions that occurred in Erciyes, Hasan, and Gullu mountains were formed a large tableland from the volcanic tufas, and together with the erosion of the Kizilirmak river and wind over ten thousand years there appeared the chimney rocks, rock formations which are wonders of nature In the Cappadocia.
Cappadocia, where dwellings can be built in its easily carved rocks and agriculture can be done in its soil suitable for grapes and similar products, has hosted many civilizations such as the Hittite, Phrygian, Persian, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman. Some historical buildings and ruins from these civilizations can still be seen in the region.
One of the interesting structures in the Cappadocia region is the underground settlements formed by carving rocks underground, called underground cities scattered throughout the region. It is not known who first built underground cities. However, the first Christians came to Cappadocia via Antakya and Kayseri in the 2nd century AD, escaping from the persecution of the Roman Empire and settling here. The first Christians who discovered the underground cities in Cappadocia hid in these underground cities, the entrances of which were built in a way that could not be easily seen, and escaped the persecution of the Roman soldiers. For this reason, they lived in these underground cities for a long time without going out and developed these underground cities by building food rooms, ventilation shafts, wine production areas, churches, monasteries, water wells, toilets and rooms.
Cappadocia is home to some of the most beautiful valleys in the world which can be seen incredible rock formations at many different shapes like camel, mushrooms human face ext Some of these are the Paşabagı, Devrent and Love valleys. And these valleys are among the places to be seen in our Cappadocia tour program from Side..
The Göreme open-air museum, one of the region's major attractions, is a large open-air area home to many well-preserved monasteries, churches and chapels carved from rock, mostly dating back to the 4th century..
