The Side Underwater Museum is located approximately 1.5 miles from the coast of Side. At depths between 11 and 24 meters, you can see 117 underwater sculptures representing different themes such as camel caravans, ancient goddesses, whirling dervishes, the War of Independence, flowers, and a children’s garden. After the underwater museum in Mexico, which contains 400 sculptures, it is considered the second largest underwater museum in the world. Since its opening in 2015, around 100,000 people have dived in this unique underwater gallery. The Side Underwater Museum is particularly popular among certified divers.
During the Side diving tour, you will enjoy two dives at different depths. The first dive usually takes place before lunch at a depth of 3–5 meters. The second dive is performed after lunch, depending on your experience level, at a depth of approximately 10–25 meters. All dives are organized in small groups accompanied by professional diving instructors. Each dive lasts around 20–30 minutes underwater. Between the dives, you will have time to relax on the boat, swim, sunbathe, or go snorkeling.
